Out with the old...

It's a new year and so Use Your Stuff is raring to go with new challenges.  This week it is OUT WITH THE OLD!  We were tasked to gather up old scraps and stash and see what we could come up with.

I had my first baby in 1999 and so of course his first Christmas was very special and we had to take him to see Santa.  I knew even at that time that I wanted to have a mini album filled with each year's Santa pics.  I started gathering supplies, found a cute red 8x8 album and put together my title page using a poem that I thought was absolutely perfect...

I also did a layout of my little guy with Santa and then put it away until the following year...unfortunately, it stayed put away even though I have been hoarding Christmas and Santa papers ever since!  I finally decided to pull the album out and gathered up all of our family Santa pics (so far there is only one year I can't find), grabbed the stash of Christmas papers and went to work and now I have 3 more pages done....only 18 more years to go! LOL!

I don't think many of the layouts will have actual journaling on them since the photos and title page make things pretty self explanatory but in this instance, I wanted to share the story of why Santa was peeking out from behind the chair so I journaled on a tag and make a little pocket behind the photo

I used coordinating scraps for the following year which is also the facing page in the album...

I really wanted to use this cute Santa tag I had in my stash so I managed to find some paper that would work and got 2002's photo in the book as well...
